POSITION SUMMARY: The Director of Sales will be responsible for soliciting new accounts, maintaining
relationships with existing accounts to meet and/or exceed revenue goals. Plan and execute client
functions to ensure customer satisfaction. Execute all contractual agreements pertaining to guest room
blocks, meeting space, and special concessions. Effectively communicate to all hotel departments the
information necessary to successfully execute the groups needs while maintaining a good client
relationship. This position will work alongside the General Manager to come up with new ideas to drive
revenue.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Solicit new and existing accounts to meet/exceed revenue goals through telephone solicitation, outside
sales calls, site inspections and written communication
*Prepare correspondence to customers, internal booking reports and file maintenance in Salesforce
*Work with other departments within the hotel to provide quality service to customers
*Attend community/social events and industry meetings
*Develop/maintain knowledge of market trends, competition and customers.
*Maintain strong client relations and ensure that event specifications are communicated and executed for
a successful meeting experience for the meeting planner and attendees
*Produce and distribute BEOs/Group Resumes two weeks prior to first day of main group arrival and
communicate any changes and updated information to hotel departments
Required Skills and Experience
Highly energetic and motivated individual
Must have strong sales and leadership skills
2+ years of sales experience preferred
Previous hospitality industry experience required
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong customer/client focus essential
Self-Starter with ability to work independently and as a team
Strong problem-solving skills
Excellent written communication skills
Ability to shift and manage multiple priorities
Results driven focus and ability to work through to completion in a timely manner
Adaptable to change
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products to include, but not limited to Microsoft Excel and Microsoft
Outlook
High level of flexibility regarding overtime during times busy periods as required by the business
Compensation/Benefits
Salary from $56,000-$62,000 per year
Quarterly Bonus Plan based on total overall revenue and STAR performance- sliding scale with up to
15% of quarterly salary
