Server – FortyEight – Wine Bar & Kitchen, located in Freshfields Village at the circle between Seabrook and Kiawah Islands, is looking for talented and energetic new servers to join our already dynamic team. We are a full service restaurant, a retail establishment and a wine bar that offers 48 wines by the glass, amazing craft beers, and a full menu every day. We have also just opened a one of a kind event space called FortyEight – Reserve Room. Our ideal servers will be able to work collaboratively, communicate effectively with the rest of the staff, and anticipate the needs of guests. We are looking for multi-taskers who thrive in a fast paced environment. We can offer you competitive pay, full time or part time hours, and a fun team atmosphere. Line Cook – FortyEight Wine Bar & Kitchen is a full service restaurant, a retail establishment and a wine bar that offers 48 amazing wines by the glass and 48 local and regional craft beers every day. Located in Freshfields Village, we are looking for an experienced Line Cook to join our team. SIGNING and RETENTION BONUSES offered!
· Prepare basic components of each dish on our menu using our proven recipes.
· Memorize and utilize our serving portion sizes and all basic meal prep procedures used in the kitchen.
· Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food on the line.
· Ensure that the kitchen, all food prep areas and all food storage areas meet restaurant cleaning standards.
· Monitor product freshness and rotate out old product based on a schedule created by the restaurant.
· Follow proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes.
· 2+ years’ cooking and kitchen administration experience.
· Ability to work on your feet for eight hours or more a day.
· High level of professionalism and strong references.
· Comfortable working with a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
· Excellent verbal communication and organization skills.
· Must be able to lift at least 25+ pounds at a time on a regular basis
