Top rated tour company is seeking passionate Tour Guides! Conducting tours in Charleston for nearly 30 years, Adventure Sightseeing offers tours of the historic downtown as well as to area Plantations and attractions. Successful candidates will be enthusiastic, customer service oriented individuals with a love of the Holy City’s history and beauty. Guides must work to build a rapport, share history and provide a great experience for guests while maintaining a tour schedule that includes various pickup and drop off deadlines for scheduled tours.
A Class C CDL with a passenger endorsement is required to drive our buses – we are willing to provide training and assistance with obtaining this license for the right candidate! A city of Charleston Tour Guide license is also nice, but not required.
Qualifications:
Ability to go above and beyond ALWAYS when it comes to customer service.
Experience with customer service – does not have to be specific to the tourism industry. We just want to know that you have the ability and experience of working with people in a public facing position.
Passion for history and the living history of the city – you don’t have to be from here, but you definitely have to want to learn and share what makes Charleston such a unique destination!
Self starter who can work solo in the field giving tours, while still working as a part of the bigger team, while adhering to a tour schedule .
Willingness to go with the flow and adapt to the changing daily needs of the business as each day can be quite different from the previous day!
CDL – Commercial Driver License Class C with a passenger endorsement is required.(Training and assistance in obtaining this license can be provided to the right candidate.) Excellent opportunity for carriage or walking tour guides looking to expand their tour giving opportunities in an air conditioned vehicle!

REQUIRED SKILLS
Passion for and knowledge of Charleston history.
Associates degree preferred
Previous professional driving experience preferred
Customer Service experience required
Pay Package:
Pay Range: $18.00-25.00/hr plus gratuities
Sign on Bonus. $1500 for already licensed CDL’s drivers.
Reciprocity Pass for area tour attractions and country parks. Full time non seasonal staff are eligible for company sponsored medical, dental and vision coverage, 401K, and Paid Time Off program.
